Wakefield Children’s Center serves ages 6 weeks to 5 years. The center has a maximum capacity of 198 children. All teachers are trained in Early Childhood Education and everyone is required to take CPR and First Aid.

Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack are provided each day. We have four revolving menus that are available to the parents for viewing.

Wakefield Children’s Center is an exceptionally clean facility built specifically for children and their busy minds. Each classroom has a large one-way mirror that allows for parents to view the classroom’s activities. Cameras are located in each classroom and the classrooms can be viewed in the director’s office. The front door can only be accessed with a code for security. We have infant, toddler, two year old and three and four year old playgrounds each with equipment that is developmentally appropriate for the age group. We also have an area for structured outdoor activities in two separate fenced-in areas. Wakefield Children’s Center has an indoor resource room that is available for children to run around, play games, or even play with the balls and parachute. This room is used when the weather does not permit the classes to go outside.

Our curriculum for our Infants is the Active Learning Series and we use the High Reach Learning Curriculum for our older infants through our Preschool classrooms. Each curriculum guides the teacher to provide developmentally appropriate activities for each age group. Our three, four and five year old classrooms each have two computers for the children to use.

We offer other programs that are included in the tuition: Spanish, Sign Language, Music, and Dance class. Young’s Gymnastics provides gymnastic classes for children 18 months to 5 years of age and there is a fee per month for this class. More information is available if you are interested.

We have a warm, loving, and nurturing environment and we hope to see you soon.
